"Having personally visited hundreds of exceptional hotels, resorts, cruises, and boutique retreats around the world, I don't often describe a property as transformative. The Joy Sedona earned that distinction within the first few hours of my stay. In short, The Joy left me genuinely speechless. Nestled along the gentle banks of Oak Creek, beneath a canopy of towering sycamores and framed by Sedona's iconic red rock cliffs, this intimate collection of private cabins offers something increasingly rare in today's luxury travel landscape: complete serenity. This is not luxury that announces itself with grand entrances or glittering chandeliers. It is luxury that reveals itself quietly—in the soft murmur of the creek outside your cabin, the filtered morning light dancing through ancient trees, and the profound sense that, for perhaps the first time in months, your mind has become wonderfully still. Each morning begins with nature's own symphony. Open your door and breathe in the crisp desert air as Oak Creek meanders past your private retreat. Sip your coffee and enjoy the hot gourmet breakfast delivered to your cabin on your secluded deck while sunlight paints the surrounding canyon walls in brilliant shades of crimson and gold. Here, schedules disappear, conversations deepen, and every moment invites you to simply be present. The accommodations blend rustic elegance with thoughtful sophistication, creating spaces that feel both refined and deeply restorative. Every detail has been carefully considered, yet nothing feels contrived. The atmosphere is one of effortless comfort—a place where luxury serves the experience rather than competing for attention. What impressed me most, however, was not the setting alone. It was the feeling. There are destinations that entertain us. Others inspire us. Very few transform us. The Joy Sedona offers a gentle reminder that the greatest luxury is no longer excess—it is peace. It is waking without an alarm, listening to flowing water instead of notifications, reconnecting with nature, and discovering how restorative true stillness can be. As a luxury travel advisor, I am continually searching for places that deliver experiences beyond expectations. The Joy Sedona is one of those rare discoveries I recommend without hesitation—not because it is extravagant, but because it is unforgettable. For travelers seeking romance, renewal, creative inspiration, or simply an opportunity to reconnect with themselves, this hidden sanctuary is one of Sedona's most extraordinary treasures. Sometimes the most luxurious journey is the one that brings you back to yourself."

""There Are Vacations. And Then There Are Experiences That Change You. There is a particular kind of traveler who has grown quietly skeptical — not of travel itself, but of the promise it keeps making and rarely fulfilling. The promise that somewhere out there, the right place exists to silence the noise, restore the spirit, and return you to yourself. I had nearly stopped believing in that place. Joy of Sedona reminded me, with breathtaking conviction, that it exists. The Joy Sedona: Where Luxury Whispers""

"Our two night stay in Sedona at The Joy was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. Michael handled everything so thoughtfully from arrival to departure, making the entire trip feel seamless and relaxing. We were welcomed with a beautifully crafted charcuterie board along with several other arrival gifts that were clearly chosen with care and attention to detail in partnership with Michael. We stayed in the Morning Glory Suite, and the morning views were absolutely stunning. The natural light pouring into the room each morning created such a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere. Every detail throughout our stay felt intentional and elevated. One of the highlights was the private lunch by the creek — it exceeded every expectation. The setting was peaceful, serene, and incredibly special. Everything was perfect, from the main salmon dish and desserts to the thoughtfully selected wine. What we appreciated most was that our schedule never felt rushed or overly packed. We were able to truly enjoy each experience and soak in the beauty of Sedona at our own pace. Michael was wonderful to work with, and every single person we encountered was professional, kind, accommodating, and genuinely welcoming. Their hospitality made the experience even more memorable. We are already looking forward to another stay in Sedona at The Joy!"

"The Joy is a magical destination in the lap of Joy Mountain. The wind, sun, water and earth of the property are energized with love and enhanced by all who serve there. Each breakfast was unique and delicious. The activities, both complimentary on the property and those personalized and arranged by Michael, were outstanding and meaningful. While the town is lovely, I honestly could have spent my entire visit on the property — lounging by the water, hiking the trails, or relaxing in the delightful room. I can't wait to go back and bring more people I love to have this amazing experience."

"Hello Michael & Rachel! What an amazing gift of experiencing Sedona from The Joy! It has been an absolute JOY to sit and witness the surrounding beauty. The laser light show accompanied by Keith and Bruce was such an unexpected bonus. This time at your property was exactly what we needed after navigating some tough times last year. We will be back and will sing your praises to anyone looking to travel to Sedona. Thank you so much for providing a beautiful location and a wonderful staff! "

"Just wanted to share with you how much we enjoyed our stay. Paul and I count ourselves lucky that we found the Sedona views at creekside. Breathtaking isn’t a big enough word. We have never been to Arizona and wanted to get away for our 10 year anniversary. So glad we chose Creekside. Nicole was kind enough to show us to our cabin and helped us with our luggage on the day we arrived. I don’t think there was a morning we didn’t love our breakfast and loved being surprised by the chef! We met Michael on the second day and he was in valuable, easy to get ahold of and nothing was ever a problem. All his recommendations were spot on! Paul and I visited Pulgia Italy in October and your property was reminiscent of our time at this Masseria. It took our breath away just like Creekside. Looking forward to recommending Sedona Views to all our friends. Thank you again, we hope to be back. "

"Wow. If we could give more stars we would! First need to start with a Thanks to Brooks, if it wasn't for you, we never would have found this gem that is now our favorite stay in Sedona. We have stayed at all the luxury resorts and a handful of Airbnbs in the area, and this place is just SPECTACULARLY Special. To start- the service is top notch and within hours I felt we knew everyone's name and they also knew ours. Michael, Jonathan, Riker, and everyone working on the grounds adds to the experience. The beds in the creekside cabins are dreamy and hard to get out of in the morning…but not when breakfast is delivered to your front porch at 8:30am with a smile in a cute basket. They are in their soft opening phase and I cannot wait to get back and see the finishing touches on an already gorgeous property. You are also very close to uptown so it seems far away & private but you're also so close to everything. They also have their own hike entrance on property! I could go on and on - but just trust us and book this."

"This place is straight out of a magazine. We rented a creekside cabin for the week and it was nothing short of perfection. Michael was always available with any questions or concerns. The staff including Erin and Alec made our stay even better with their great customer service. Whatever we needed, we had and more. The property is absolutely gorgeous. We walked around just admiring the style and beauty. The cabins are decorated to create a calm living space and smelled amazing. It is a quick drive to the city where there are shops and restaurants. Speaking of food, Chef Blanca created delicious breakfasts every morning. We were more and more impressed with each meal we received. Parking is a little tight and the driveway is a steep quick turn off of the main road. But other than that it is an oasis. We were already planning our return before the week was over."

"The John Muir cabin was an amazing place to spend my birthday with a friend. It's a beautiful new cabin on a serene creekside property. The concierge, Michael, was extremely responsive and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. A gourmet breakfast was delivered each morning and the cabin was full of nice touches like fresh flowers and freshly baked cookies. I think it's only a matter of time before this special place really takes off, so stay there now while you can!"

"This place is incredible. Its just as described online and better. The property is secluded and quiet and literally on the creek, which isn't an easy thing to come by in Sedona. There's a beach area to take your shoes off and jump in during the summer or just walk along the property in the winter. Easy access to Joy Mountain for a hike and lots of great suggestions for things to do. If you're staying longer or like to have a small kitchen available, they have that too! The space was nicely decorated, very clean, the bed super comfy with plenty of extra pillows. Its super chic and beautiful and no wifi or TV, which is a plus when the goal is to connect back to yourself and nature. This is the place to get away and reconnect. I highly recommend staying here and promise you won't be disappointed. All the staff I interacted with was so kind and considerate. In the morning breakfast is served and they accommodate any dietary need. I am gluten and dairy free and got the most amazing breakfast of overnight oats with oat milk, lavender matcha latte with oat milk, eggs, GF English muffin, sausage, potatoes... I mean c'mon. You won't get this type of service almost anywhere else. This is truly a special place. Come here when you want to disconnect from life, reconnect to yourself and nature and be pampered in the process!"
